  1. Finally some really valuable informations about online jobs!! Congrats, your content is top quality! Honest, detailed and precise. Good luck with all your businesses! Thumbs up! <3

  2. Gillian I just want to thank you very much for sharing this video with us and providing a little knowledge. I am a new mom and would like to work but am not comfortable with placing my child in day care. This video has provided me with ideas and options for my family. I appreciate it and I hope that I can reach out to you in the future should I need some expert advice.

    1. I agree. I have my baby who turns 10 months old tomorrow and I am looking for something online that’s part time or ideas I can work with based on my skill level.

  3. Hey Gillian, awesome content!! 👍 I’ve worked online, for myself, for about 15 years but managed to fail at 106 different Businesses/Income Opportunities. That sounds rather negative & pessimistic but thankfully I have at least learnt from all my failures.

I suffered from what many of us call ‘Shiny Object Syndrome’ throughout the entire 15 years & it wasn’t until my health started to decline that I began to look very seriously at my ‘journey’ and what I’d been doing (or NOT doing). I was recently diagnosed with Cancer & I’ve decided to give this whole Online thing one last push.

I’ve considered every one of your suggestions over the years & tried my hand at many of them as well. That is, all except being an Editor of some kind. This would really be playing to my Strengths as I have an English A Level & enjoy working with ‘words’. Thank you for giving me one last shot at the ultimate Laptop Lifestyle. Keep up the good work 🙂 x

    1. Hey Rick, thanks for sharing your story!
106 — wowza, that’s a lot! It sounds like you’ve learned the cause of why things haven’t worked out though: you’re getting distracted.
You can be anything you set your mind to, if you believe it is possible and stay committed. If you want to be an editor, then be an editor. You have a nearly infinite number of opportunities before you. The hardest challenge is simply *deciding* to make one happen.

    2. Rick Hignett, my suggestion: stick to one thing and one thing only. Get to be the best at it. Then do videos, podcast, etc, etc, etc. when people mention your name they think about this:_____.

  4. Hi Gillian you’re the first person that sounds promising for those that want and more importantly need to work from home due to illness and disability. Thanks for making this video for us all. You seem very hopeful.

  5. Thank you for this informative video. You’re just straight to the point and energetic. I love the honesty in you when you just heard about of one jobs. “A” for effort. Great video Gillian!!! 😀😍💝

  6. Thank you Gillian, you are the bomb! I went to your website and the information you give is so great and so valulable and you give it away for free! You’ve truly inspired me!

  7. This is so needed!! Way better than doing surveys and all those other things people push in blogs. Great advice 🙂

  8. I LOVE how specific you are in this – how much money each job makes, and realistic about how long it takes to learn each one. Brilliaant!

  9. HI Gillian, this was a very informative video particularly for my demographics, the semi retired (or the “wannabe” retired)! I will share this in my FB groups and blog. Currently I work doing a couple of your suggestions. And have found that I can make a good enough living to allow me to live where I want to be as well as travel a little. I hope this will inspire others in my demographics to try breaking free of a nine to five job. Thanks so much!

    1. Ana Fernandez Hello Ana, which online jobs are you doing? I’m looking to support myself solely from online work. Thanks!

    2. Sharon Fried Well, primarily I work as an online bookkeeper (my original profession) but I have been transitioning over to website building and social media marketing. I am really self taught but I have great enthusiasm for all things techy so it comes easier for me than it does for others my age.

  10. Out of the list of jobs you mentioned, the one that stood out to me in terms of naturally-obtained skill level (due to my cyclic addictive reading and writing habits) was specifically as an editor. That seems to be absolutely right up my alley (right now). Thanks for this information. You are awesome.

  11. I had never heard of Haro. It was a great tip. You should also add localization and translations to your list. I freelance as a translator and bilingual writer and editor (Spanish and English) and it has been a great to have a side hustle.

  12. Thank you for taking the time to put together this list and for explaining it so thoroughly! I’m a graphic designer that works from home (and cafes ☕️💕) and found this very insightful. 😊
