If you’re talking about financing something (like a car), waiting for interest rates to fall (which the Fed raised to cool inflation) does make sense. To the degree that inflation falling corresponds to interest rates falling, waiting might make sense. But watch the interest rates, not inflation. It’s the interest rates that matter.
