You’re an eloquent speaker; you’re organized, and you communicate clearly and concisely, yet nearly 5% of your critics give this video a thumb’s down. This puzzles me because, in sharp contrast to many other “How to” videos I watch on YouTube, this particular video demonstrates a strong sense of priorities concerning strategy, efficiency, technical skills, and quality, while the videos on many other channels do not. So, thank you for that. I can only suspect that hostile critics can’t avoid an emotional commitment to sabotage their competition. Their need to be the center of attention seems to hinge on discrediting their rivals. The hell with them. You’ve invited us into your personal space and taught us something we want to know more about, and I hope you continue to do so.
Thanks Gillian, I am investigating possibly starting a youtube channel. Friends and family are pushing me to do share my experiences through youtube. My learning curve is vast because I am of a older generation and technology is a challenge for me yet I have never been afraid of a challenge. This is great! I’ve been wanting to start a channel to show my kids that you can do anything you put yourself kind to. My wife and I have an apparel store and this would be a great way to engage with the public and show our stuff that we have passion for. Thank you for this!
Very clear and organized presentation, Gillian. As a Chartered Accountant, the past few years have been very very hectic due to professional commitments. While I have a few other interests other than finance and accounts, I never ever thought of making my own Youtube channel. Now with the Covid 19 pandemic and working out of home for the past 8 weeks, I have been able to organize myself a little better. I had produced a music album with a very famous Indian singer and a famous music director a few years back. I have now decided to do another music album with the same music director. I spoke with him yesterday and he said he saw my first production on Youtube. I was shocked as I had never put it on Youtube yet as I was planning to film the songs and then put it instead of just the sound bytes. I located my music album that was uploaded and immediately contacted Youtube to try and take it out. While this may take a while, I then decided to find out how to have my own channel, especially now that I am getting ready for my next music album production. So decided to self educate on the channel opening process. This is where I stumbled across this video of yours. It was very very helpful. The clarity you provided for beginners was really wonderful. The presentation was very well organized. A Big Thank You for the lovely video.
