WHY SUBSCRIBE TO WHOLESALE TED?
Hey there I am Sarah (aka Ted). My goal is to help new entrepreneurs grow & scale a business that is right for THEM!
Yes – the business that is right for THEM. Because I believe that time is the most valuable thing we have, and that we should spend it doing things that we love: and what I love may be different to what you love. Which is why on this channel I share:
* Examples & case studies of businesses that I enjoy (such as Print On Demand ecommerce businesses) and sharing my tips & strategies I've learned along the way.
* Examples & case studies of other businesses that entrepreneurs love running (even if I personally wouldn't find it fun myself!)
* Plus a sprinkle of entrepreneurial motivation thrown in too!
I hope my actionable content can help you: whether you're running your own online business, or are in the process of building one, and want some tactical advice to help you along the way. If that is you, subscribe today! 🔥

Hello Sara, I have coloring books that I wanted to have for print on demand, however none of the print on demand companies want to print it because it has a link on the bottom of each page. The coloring books are going to be used to get leads and without a link it’s pointless to produce. Thoughts???
What do you think – is Ideogram a threat to Midjourney? 🤔
Yes, at least until Midjourney learns how to write text. Ideogram’s main problem is that there is currently no way to make your results private.
You shouldn’t use that is for non commercial use
As I showed in the video, the team have said that everyone is allowed to use it for commercial use 🙏
They have not changed their terms and conditions
@Wholesale Ted Yeah they have not updated their terms of service yet. Also it says in the Terms of Service: “You must be 13 years of age or older to use the Services and reside in the United States or Canada except Quebec. ”
So the majority of the rest of the world are not “really” meant to be using it either. Unless there are new updates to the Terms of Service coming?
Looks cool ai tool though,.
As an artist, it sucks that AI art exist but at the same time it’s great for visualizing ideas instantly and brainstorming 😅
Alot of artists are saying that but whats weird is a lot of them dont rely on the art to make a living. Go figure I guess.
Interesting how everyone likes their use if it, but hates everyone else’s use of it. The said the same thing about digital art, photo and illustration programs, etc.
@Kitka Kitteh All the others were tools. AI is not a tool. It is a machine to create the final result. A complete replacement.
There are a ton of AI generated mockups on Etsy for T-shirts, etc. You can tell they are AI. I guess some POD sellers don’t seem to mind, even though they are not really the product you would get if ordering the shirt, etc. Most of the time they don’t look nearly the same. Often, I think the ones with people in them look kind of creepy and unrealistic.
Depends, because some of them are also really good and depict the actual shirt in question. IT depends on how well they do the prompts.
Thanks Sara for your work! My 2 cents: I have used AI to generate images for print on demand services. It is extremely rare to have an AI photo give me what I want without significant changes that need to be made. I always begin with a “finished” image in my mind before I even start. It will then often take 10 or 12 times of revising descriptions before I can get a usable image. Even with the exact same description, the results can vary a lot and are never duplicated. I then photo shop the resulting “good” image sometimes changing colors, shapes, cloning certain areas to delete objects, or even paste in new ones. The result after a few hours of work is an image close to what I envisioned in my mind when my “creativity” started. Exactly where is the creativity part that is AI’s? It sounds like my words and the image I envisioned are “human” creativity. Many times I cannot get an acceptable image after dozens of tries and I give up on the idea altogether. Post AI efforts are copyrightable, but not the AI image I had to revise because the machine is not human? Neither is my artist drawing tablet human, but I told it what to do, and if it didn’t come out to my liking I change it. How about my original thought? My own designs and images I have made without AI, were discerned by me looking at images or real things over my lifetime giving me a memory library of experience to draw from. This includes say a great photo my aunt took in Hawaii twenty years ago. I have never been to Hawaii, so I have to envision what the beach looks like based upon her picture, and thousands of others I have seen. It is protected by copyright to her, so I can’t “copy” it lest I be a criminal. I can draw something close and put it on a t-shirt though. It is “changed” but I didn’t ask her permission or pay her money. AI does the same thing, only the AI is a tad faster than me on my tablet tracing a beach picture. Although AI has never experienced lying on a tropical beach, it is great at drawing one with an upside down palm tree, or a fish with four eyes. I could copy that one, but the beach part might be copyrighted, hopefully not the tree? I’ve never seen an upside down palm tree, so it might be o.k. – if it was my idea. The fish might be questionable. Keep up the great work! ❤
When you write such a long, extensive comment and want people to read it, which I didn’t because the lack of PARAGRAPHS!!!! make it more reader-friendly, and maybe more people will take the time to actually read it.
💯 correct. It’s a tool like any other that can’t create anything without input from the artists.
I don’t know. All this AI-generated stuff and millions of people all trying to sell the same thing leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
It’s not millions, at most it’s a couple of hundred thousand people making designs, and most of the new guys will not have the through anything mentality to actually build there own business no matter how easy it is.
it’s – THEIR !@TheLionheartArts
@Tribzman, don’t be that guy….. -_-
@TheLionheartArtswhether or not it’s a million, hundreds of thousands or several extremely profitable conglomerates or mom & pop shops, it’s not right.
In the academic world you can’t write a book without sourcing and crediting those who inspired the work or the thought process….. Do the plagiarism. AI art is no different then doing just that. And furthermore, you pay a company, typically, to plagiarize for you… Which makes it doubly wrong.
You really should leave a bad taste in your mouth, besides the reply-all provided above, it wasn’t supposed to be like this. AI was supposed to be there to free people up to pursue a more self-fulfilling path in life. It’s taking over our art, while it instead shuts itself down 15 minutes into a manual labour job. It’s taking our pleasure, and leaving us with its misery.
I really enjoy your news videos. It’s hard to catch everything going on in the field, especially for those of us for who this isn’t a full time gig.
Agreed!
I really like these updates/news. Keeps me up to date and even just watching a new video from you on the regular keeps me motivated to continue working on my store.
I’ve had quite different experiences with AI… After months of testing, I did the last test… I put 5 different generated images and one of my own graphic in the same niche. And you know what? I only sell my own image, while five generated images just sit there and attract zero attention. I really don’t know why!
But I also have to say that I really enjoyed drawing my own image while I missed out on all the fun with the AI generated images. Then I thought, wait a minute – if I wanted to communicate with the machine by writing the text, I’d become a programmer! So I’m back to my old ways, having fun and drawing, the numbers are fine, and the life is good again. Sorry for the longer text, I just had to write my own experiences! Oh, and I don’t hate anyone. I’m happy with my choice! 😁
Your experience doesn’t prove that human drawn designs do better than AI designs. Perhaps your skill as an artist is a lot higher than your skill at crafting a compelling prompt for the AI. There is significant skill in communicating what you want from MidJourney – and that gives you a starting point – if you just upload that directly to a T-Shirt or Mug, you haven’t done all the work. You still need to throw it in Canva and add some finishing touches to it. So – for YOU – human designed is better than AI – but for the next guy, it might be the opposite – especially if they take the time to learn how to create effective prompts. 🤷🏻♂️
Maybe it can be a bit like that thing where they take all the most beautiful features of a female face and put them all in 1, and it doesn’t necessarily make the most beautiful face
@Tenly2009 Midjourney AI is still stupid. But Soon it won’t be and you will not need to prompt as much as before. That is why the law which is time tested still applies. It is a machine and the only limitiation right now is the upgrade of Midjourney which I believe is deliberately being slowed down as an act of generosity.
Redbubble is clearly not taking down Atari designs. That is clearly a copyright violation. Why is Atari keep on losing?
I’m steering clear of AI for now. Great to hear about the new acrylic ornament 😀 that should get over some previous issues with print quality on ornaments. Acrylic prints really well.
I love AI ART because it helps me to be able to conquer my inability to draw intricate art as I would crave for. With AI now, I can improve my creativity and expand my imagination in creating beautiful art
As an artist, I embrace AI, because it can give some great ideas, and I don’t want to miss out on the next “big thing,” like I have in the past.
That’s the healthiest thing to say ❤
Also, there’s Dall-E 3 coming out soon…and it makes Ideogram look outdated 🤯
Thank you for doing these news videos. I love them.
I look forward to using Ai to create 3D objects for games.
Thanks for doing these news videos. With so much going on, it’s really hard to keep up to date.
Thank you so much for the latest AI updates.
Hi Sarah. Love these news videos. Your presentation and videos are extremely professional. Like the dancing too!!
As a human illustrator I just draw my own designs. I encourage people to do something that taps into the skill they have and do something they truly enjoy, then the money will follow
