When I said free – I meant included in a standard Canva free account, not in the free account, because Canva has a big range of AI apps that you can install, but are NOT included and cost additional money. It’s something I discuss at 4:59
Magic Write can also write story outlines. Give it a general overview of your plot and/or main characters, and at the end put, “I want a chapter outline.” It will give you a breakdown that you can then use to create your story. FYI, in case anyone here is doing NaNoWriMo next month.
Good luck with the NaNoWriMo! It’s a huge challenge but I love your idea of using AI to help you speed it up
@Wholesale Ted Thanks! I’m good at coming up with story ideas, but outlining has never come easily to me. I usually write myself into a corner where I don’t know what happens next and get stuck. When I thought to use AI to counter that weakness, I was pleasantly surprised by what it produced. I’m looking forward to seeing how my NaNoWriMo attempt turns out this year, now that I have some structure to guide me.
That said, out of curiosity, I tested Magic Write by having it write a scene for one of the story ideas. It was… lackluster, to say the least, lol 😅 AI is definitely best suited to be a support for real creativity, rather than as a substitute for it.

The AI tools (in general) are amazing – but the Magic Eraser drives me nuts!!!
Why on earth can’t I take my time and select with precision, the areas I want erased – and then press a “Go” button when I’m ready…???
Nope – you better be accurate the first time because as soon as you let go of the mouse button it erases whatever you’ve highlighted (which usually includes a small piece is the image I did NOT want to erase!)
I do not know WHO thought this was the best way to implement the feature – but I hope that bad things happen to them. 😠

How were you able to use your free Dall-e images? My Dall-e says they cannot be used for commercial purposes. And yes, I too, love your videos.
From what I could see, DALL-E app in Canva as the same terms of service that Open AI has for DALL-E which is that you have full control over your images, which makes sense. It’s been legally ruled that AI images have no copyright protection. For AI image generators to place license restrictions, they need to legally own the copyright to their images, which they do not. I am sure that doesn’t stop some from trying to pretend like they do anyway, lol 🙏

It’s true, it’s quite impressive but it is creepy 💀 I think it’s the mixture of the voice being very monotone, and the person looking so monotone too!
