Nearly 5% yield on the cash plus whatever premiums I collect. If I get assigned, good, I get an aristocrat for a discount. If not, rinse and repeat.

People generally don’t invest in dividend stocks for the asset appreciation. Buy-and-hold investors with primarily divided portfolios don’t seek to sell the underlying asset for gains. Yes, in a year like this one someone could sell a Nvidia stock for a 20% gain, but it’s a one-time taxable event and they could lose those gains with one bad decision this year, next year, or the year after!
