Interesting question! Art style is not copyrightable, you can’t copyright any particular art style, so a filter that makes your image look similar in style to another picture, seems like it should be OK, but I should note, I am not a lawyer!

I absolutely target the USA and absolutely sell in USD. If you sold in NZD it probably would affect your conversions, since you would artifically make the price look higher than it actually is for them, since our dollar is weak to the USD!

The lawyer stated that each jurisdiction chooses, and that not all jurisdictions choose to place them in the public domain. It seems like the federal government does, but each state can choose, and I haven’t seen any confirmation on any interviews with the Fulton County Department confirming or unconfirming what the legal status is there. Until that is provided, legally, I wouldn’t assume it is public domain!

Yeah it’s interesting, historically, the political niche has thrived in POD because it is extremely rare for any politician to invoke their right of publicity. Usually their photo is used to make fun of them, not support them (unique case here) however, it’s generally considered socially “beneath” a politician to take down. There are very few cases a politician has. Obama did, when a jacket company made it look like in an ad that he was endorsing their jacket brand by using a photo of him, wearing their jacket. But very few cases like that.
